BDBC: Data Protection & Privacy Policy

In line with the Data Protection Acts (1988 - 2018) & General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Baldoyle District B.C. has a Data Protection Privacy Policy in place.

Data We Hold [Summary]


(a) Your Name, Contact Number/s, Email Address/s and Images/Videos

(b) These will be retained for a minimum period of 3 months from commencement of your membership and for a maximum period of 12 months. 
(c) We will only use your information for the purposes of contacting you regarding team/club/social matters.

(d) You will be contacted annually to either Give or Withdraw your Consent to our holding of your data. Upon Consent, it will be then held for the next 12 months and so on and so forth.

(e) Once a member leaves the Club their data will be deleted within a reasonable time-frame.

Relevant Data Protection Legislation
 

  • The Data Protection Acts 1988-2018 are designed to protect people’s privacy.

  • The legislation confers rights on individuals in relation to the privacy of their personal data as well as responsibilities on those persons holding and processing such data.

Personal Data
 

  • Personal data means data relating to a person who is or can be identified either from the data itself or in conjunction with other information that is in, or is likely to come into, the possession of the Department.

  • It covers any information that relates to an identified or identifiable living individual.

  • These data can be held on computers or in manual files.
