Baldoyle Mixed 6 Emerge Victorious

We are the Champions!

Saturday 21st April 2018. The sun is beating down......the Club are in the hunt for DDLC Club of the Year and our Mixed 6 team are in Terenure to Face-Off against the Mighty Rush on Finals Night!

The scene is set. Terenure is thronging with highly competitive matches from across Leinster and shed-loads of supporters whose ranks are about to double as the Venga Bus from Baldoyle makes it's way into the Car Park.

Up for grabs is the prestige of being 2018 winners in their division and a nice piece of silverware and crystal to boot.

The matches were tough with great shots, rallies, clever tactics, and nerves of steel. At times it was point for point, claw a lead, then relinquish it only to fight back again. Rush weren't taking this lightly and pushed our guys to the limit with the 3rd match finishing at nearly level on games and points.

Winner Takes All!

Match 4 was everything you want in a nail-biter and Mick and Gar belted out 'Flower of Scotland' (way off key!) to inspire our Richard and Linda. It was to be our night in many ways and Mixed 6 emerged victorious! The place erupted......

Upstairs to the bar then to collect the much deserved awards. The team classically also paid tribute to their super subs, Glenn, Declan and Emma B.

Well done Mixed 6 from all at the club. Your victory added to the brilliant weekend of Saturday Summer sunshine and the small matter of winning Club of the Year!
